They show up when nobody's watching
Plowing the church lot at 4am. Fixing the furnace for the widow down the road and never sending the invoice.
— Hometown Heroes
Every town has one
The one everybody calls. The one who shows up with a truck and a generator before anyone asks. You know exactly who yours is — tell us about them.
They carry the town on the side of the job
Volunteer fire, ball coach, school board, food drive out of the shop bay.
They train the next ones
The person every apprentice in a twenty-mile radius learned from.
They rebuilt something after it broke
Storm, flood, fire, layoff. They were there before the trucks were.
It's free, it can't be bought, and it has nothing to do with the size of the company. A one-truck operation counts the same as a hundred-truck one.
The board
Our hometown heroes
Nobody's up here yet. The first Hometown Hero is still out there doing the work.
Every name on this board gets checked, and nobody gets published until they say yes.
Put your hometown hero forwardWho's yours?
Give us the name and the story. If you'd rather they never know it came from you, tick the box and we'll keep that between us.
