Privacy Policy

Plain English. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain it properly.

What we collect

When you send something in: your name, email, phone if you give it, your trade, company and town, whatever you write, and any photos, video or voice notes you attach.

When you buy: your name, email, shipping address and order details. Card numbers go straight to our payment processor — TRADES never sees or stores them.

When you join the list: your email, the name you gave, and which list you asked for.

When you use the site: basic, aggregate page and link counts. We do not sell or share any of it.

Why we hold it

To review what you sent and come back to you about it. To print and post your copy. To send the emails you asked for. To keep a record of what you agreed to, which protects you as much as us.

Who sees it

The TRADES editorial desk. Our payment processor, our email sender, our printer and our shipper — each only the part they need to do their job. Nobody else. We never sell your details, and a sponsor never gets your contact details because they sponsored something.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records: seven years, because the law says so. Permission and consent records: as long as the material exists, because that is the point of them. Anything else: until you ask us to delete it.

Your say

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link and it works the first time. Email hello@readtradesmagazine.com and a person will answer.

Children

The site is not for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect their details.
