The media kit

Everything a partner needs before they decide: what we print, who reads it, what a partnership includes and the line we don't cross. Built like Issue 00, not a sponsorship deck.

Be there when the story starts

We're printing the first copies of something we intend never to print again. Sponsors and advertisers get to say they were in Issue 01 of TRADES.

13 pages, 8.5 x 11. Print it, don't just scroll it.

Inside the kit

  • Cover concept and manifesto
  • What TRADES is, and who is in it
  • The nine departments, including The Funny Pages
  • Why the edition is capped and never reprinted
  • Sponsor levels and print ads
  • Receipts Verified and the editorial firewall
  • Partner Studio and the Field Report process
  • The three partnership levels
  • The life of one story, and how distribution works

Who reads TRADES

We don't want everyone. We want the right people.

Owners and operators, field and shop leadership, office and back office. Volume 01 is the first edition, so there is no circulation history to quote and we won't invent one. We report actual circulation and digital performance after the issue ships, and partners receive those numbers in the post-campaign report.

Up to 500 original copies, individually numbered, never reprinted. Distribution is built from contributors, subscribers, owners and operators, executives, frontline leaders, events and partner allocations.

Editorial standards

You can buy our attention. You can't buy our opinion.

What a partnership buys

  • Advertising and designed print placement
  • Sponsored storytelling, clearly labelled
  • Distribution, events and digital exposure
  • Research collaboration and activations

What it never buys

  • Recognition, awards or calendar places
  • Positive reviews or editorial conclusions
  • Unlabelled coverage of any kind
  • A Receipts Verified mark

Paid work is labelled as partner content, sponsor involvement is disclosed, and factual performance claims need evidence before they print. How the firewall works.

Sponsors

Three sponsor levels.
